Last week in Abuja, the us embassy in Nigeria collaborated with Channels Television to hold a “Journalism 101” workshop at the new Channels Academy. Veteran journalist Bill Hinchberger conducted the training via Skype from the Paris offices of Africa Regional Services. He covered topics including story development, locating sources, accuracy and objectivity, interviewing techniques, working with editors, and journalistic ethics.
